This JUST happened this morning. Was NOT a pretty sight.

Cliff Notes: 4 dead, 2 critically injured.

stay safe and rethink that downshift you're about to do next to the guy revving you out. You might save a life, more than likely your own. latez

race was between a 3g and a 2g...

3g lost control hit 2g, causing both of them to hit that truck, causing everyone to die except one guy.

I feel bad for them (this is why street racing is bad) hope we all don't do that.

the drivers in both eclipses were in the miltary...

leave it up to the 3g

no matter how many people die/get hurt/get bitched at, it seems like none of it matters cause more and more accidents like this keep happening. this only tears apart the entire car community cause it creates flames between domestic & import, import & import and common person & military. i'm not even gonna waste the space to state an opinion on this matter, but people need to just take a step back and think a lil before they get in their car and ruin others; futures. this is just a disgrace.

Yeah not sure about that, I think what had happened... is that they were going fast... and the 3g took off, tried to cut in front of the 2g but the 2g floored it and the back of the 3g graved the 2g and put both of them into a uncontrollable situation.

I dont know that part for sure, but it seems like thats what happened it if it was a turbo 2g...

someone from hawaii forums said they knew the person and it was a 2g dsm... dunno if they think dsm is turbo or not... so who knows...

I've seen that type of accident before, and the vehicles involved werent even racing. All it takes is one dumbass to try and cut off another vehicle and their tail end clipping the other vehicles front end. High speed just makes it worst though. Its usually a slow assed car trying to pass somebody in a tight squeeze situation.

Im going to refrain from flaming the crap out of you. I dont know in what light you meant that, so i'll hold it. Hawaii isn't a bunch of backward idiots who dont know a blow off valve from a FPR. Dont under estimate ones knowledge because of where they come from. If you meant no harm in your statement fine, but from the wording, it feels to me you think he/she (WE) are uneducated. Again, if it wasn't meant in bad light sorry. I apologize.

Anyway, to stay on topic its was more than likely a 2g RS. Someone pointed out it had 14" rims and was majority stock save a few bolt ons.

One of our club members was interviewed by the News Channel right after he called in. Its going to air tonight, explaining the difference b/w what a car enthusiast is and a "street racer". Hawaii has had alot of bad stigma of imports in the past few years due to these accidents. We're trying to squash that issue, and this unfortunate incident doesnt really help.

But yeah, plz stay safe out there. latez

If you pull up next to a 2004 civic si thats trying to show off his car by revving the engine and stuff, and he wants to race you what would you do? I would smoke him, but sadly it takes things like this to make you think twice.

I can't remember who said it....but someone said it and it's so true.

When that person pulls up on you tryin to provoke you, it may take all that you have not to just take up the offer....but if you do decide not to race, then you know you are truly strong & disiplined.

You know, I don't really care for the guy, but I don't think he was flaming.
