Hey, i was wondering how much i should lower my car and what would look good. I was either going to get the goldline springs, which lower it 2"s or the arospeed ones that lower it 1.5"s. I was going to get 17" wheels also if that would have anything to do with it but now i just have my stock 16"s. Thank you.

get the 1.5..screw having it "slammed"..if ur going to be going over bumps and sh!t its a pain have to drive over them VERY slow..i have a 1.3 or so drop and its pefectly fine for me..i have 17"s also and i think it looks damn good...my car used to have 2in drop and the previous owner went over a speedbump and it ripped the exhaust right off....

I Did that 2.0 in drop on my last car Messed up my nice Greedy exhaust about ripped it off and made the bottom of the car look like a crazzy man with a hammer went nuts under there.

I'm goin with the Eibach sportline springs. It drops 1.8"-2".
I'm keeping my 16" wheels and have a huge ugly fender gap. plus i'm gettin 215/40/16 tires which will make the gap bigger. so i need the 2" drop.

i love my 2 in. drop just dont drive like an idiot, meaning safe and careful in bad areas and your all good plus it looks good. i now have 1.75 in. drop in the rear and 2 in the front. the bonuses of coilovers. looks good and no rubbing of the rear tires anymore also dont even need a camber kit. check out my pic it speaks for itself.

What kind of coilovers do you have? I heard bad stuff about them like they are bad at high speeds and they bounce all over the place, is that true?

just make sure you get some tokico illumina's and youll be fine.

i have drop zone coil overs and tokico illuminas, im not satisfied with the coilovers but thank god i have the tokicos

ypu i got ractive coilovers and tokico blue struts and its all good, of course u gotta expect ride quality to worsen when u lower it 2 in. so if youre 30 years old or older and are worried about ride quality then lower like 1 in. or 1.5. (usually older people cant stand even the slightest decline in ride quality). thats my opinion. goes the same for that good old "if its too loud youre too old" saying. ya get what im saying?

Ok, i think im going to get the 1.5" drop, and its not cuz im old, im 16. Does anybody have arospeed springs? if not have you heard anything about them?

Yup, I have the Aerospeed springs w/ a 2" drop. They seem just fine to me. Not knowing much about lowering cars, springs and the like, I was told all kinds of horror stories of rough riding and major bounce when dropping the car with new springs - not the case for me. Yes, they ARE "springy" when ya hit bumps on the highway going above 70 mph, but not rough at all (and I'm 29 years old!).........hope this helps, and good luck with your project.....

hey "eclipsa"! watch the age comment boy :p i'm 31 and age has nothing to do your "ride" comment, and i thought you were just looking for springs a couple of days ago; when did you buy coilovers?

thanks. yeah every once and a while we "oldies" have to keep these kids in check otherwise they will start looking to put us in retirement homes.

I gotta agree with HyperGSX on that one - when I bought my 18s and stuck 'em on, I was SHOCKED at how much wheel-well was still present - almost didn't even look like I had just jumped up 2" in size - so, in turn, in came the 2" drop and made all the difference in the world....go for it, man, it's worth it....
