im having a real hard time installing my new polyurathane bushings, i have a press but is really not helping. Im just wondering if you guys can give me any suggestions on what i can do to get the new bushings in cause i have been stressing over this the whole weekend so far.

You did press out the thin metal sleeves as well as the old rubber bushings correct? Those little metal sleeves have to come out to put in the poly bushings.

yes the metal sleeves have all been pushed out.

Both of them on each bushing? To make sure we're on the same page; There is the sleeve the bolt goes through, then the rubber bushing, then another thin sleeve around that. The outside sleeve is the one I'm talking about.
With that out the new bushings should slide right in.

yes both are out the inner and the outer metal sleeves.

Are you putting in the new urathane bushings first, then the inner metal sleeve that came with them? If you put everything in together air pockets between the metal sleeve and bushing make it impossible.

im trying to get the bushings in first.

Then I really don't know what's wrong. On mine once the arms were really clean they slid right in. Are any of the 2G bushings almost the same size, but not quite? I really don't know what to tell you.

Agreed, clean those things (use some sandpaper and then Simple Green) and use the lubricant that comes with them. This is a PITA, have patience.
A vice will help as well.

i covered my ES bushings in antisieze before i pressed them in. i was hoping that would help them to not squeek and make it easier for them to slide in.

well at least they slid in with no problem.

To stop them from squeaking spray them liberally (read as: soak)with WD-40. It worked on mine (different car,) they never made noise again.

Wheres the cheapest place i could get some bushings for my 1g? I found this site a while back but i cant find it now, the website is really plain and the kit was only like $78. included like sway bar bushings and all the mounts and shyt
