Need about a 1/2 to 3/4 drop

Aight I have 18 inch wheels on my 97 r/s and i might have around 2 inches between the tire and the fender. I just like to drop that to maybe 1.5 to 1.25 between the tire and fender but for that small of a drop I'm not spending several hundred dollars. I would drop more but theres always lovely dead animals in the road but most are small enough i can barley clear them now without messing up my front bumper or the neon rods under the car. I thought about getting coilovers but i heard still they arent that great and real good ones still cost a pretty penny. I just need some suggestions. Thanks guys..

the cheapest is maybe 300 for a set of coilovers, springs are cheaper but they all drop at least 1.5-2

Actually I went out and looked and its a 3 inches between tire and fender so I'm just gonna go all out and buy maybe tokico shocks and 1.75 drop springs and ingalls camber kit hopefully it wont rub....
