Yeah so I have been trying to decide what setup I want to purchase for my 95 TSI AWD. I looked into tein and I wanted to buy the flex but it's just not financially possible for me right now. So I am going for the either eibach/tokico setup or I found some tokico spring/shock package for like 379$. I can get eibach prokit/sportline, either, with tokicos for around 470$ but I don't know if it's worth the extra 100$ for the name on the spring. I assume as long as they are the same spring rates either would work fine and there would be little difference between the too right? Any feedback would be appreciated.
 
Honest suggestion: cut one coil from your stock springs, have the car re-aligned, and save up for a suspension that will make the car handle.

If you insist on lowering springs, don't get sportlines. Way too low for Tokikos. In fact, too low for any OTS shock. Prokits are OK.

If you insist on spending $500 now, then get a set of Konis to use with shortened stock springs. Later on you can add a GC coil-over kit.

I cut one coil from my stock springs about a year ago (despite constant verbal beatings on how "ghetto" it was, and how it changes spring rate unpredictably :rolleyes: ) and replaced the shocks with GR-2's. This lowered the car about 1-1.5". It rides a little harsher, although the new shocks do a good job of keeping most surface distortions short of an unplugged manhole in check. Body roll is still excessive, though I think a set of anti-roll bars will help alleviate this. My camber was off by about 1 degree as well. Go ahead and purchase an Eibach front camber kit for $24.95 on tirerack, as an alignment shop will gouge you for one ($74 for one side! OMG ). It'll also do you good to get a rear camber kit. I'm saving up for Tein SS-P's or HA's. :thumb:
