was up guys i need you help, i need new rubber. my rubber now is just horrible i can not launch with it. i need some good rubber that will let me lay down all the power of my 60 trim. my car is daily driven so keep that in mind.

any of you guys have something to say about some good tires. thanks

Well, theres lots of good tires out there.
I will be getting the Kumho Ecsta MX's in about a month.
Some other good tires are:

BFG G-force T/A KD or even KDW
Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3
Falken Azenis Sport (what I currently have)

Those would be my top picks...all of these tires have Treadwear ratings under 300.

well i do love the little chirp then take off but its gotten so bad that all i do is spin them on a 5k launch.


are those tires you posted good for the street. also how about nitto neo gen. ive used nitto 555 on my last car with a b16g and it held all the power of that.

BF Goodrich G-Force's or Kuhmo Escta's IMHO are great tires

well yeh, they are all street tires.

I personally Don't like most Kumhos...ONLY the Ecsta MX's not the 712's the 712s just don't stick that great compared to other tires...but they are good for almost sticky and long lasting.

The Ecsta MX's I found were $127 a tire with TW rating of 220
Falken Azenis, very sticky but wear pretty quick, I got for $12x a tire with TW raing of 200
G-Force T/A KD is $181 now on sale TW of 200
And the Eagle F1's are $179 with $75dollar rebate when you buy 4 TW rating of 280.

They are all sticky tires and good for the street.
I picked the Ecsta MX's because I think they will last a while longer than my Azenis's did.
And the MX's have been PROVEN in many recent tests that they give VERY close performance to the T/A KD's...

Ohh and BTW the pricings I listed are for 245/40/17 series tires...cause thats what I use...if yours are smaller...they will be cheaper.

import wheels? uhh? Or are we still on tires?

Personally I have never tried Nittos...I have heard many times that the 450s sucked and the 555s were decent...some people said they were good.


Their are some other good tires as well that I didn't mention...but thats because they wouldn't work well for me.

Bridgestone Potenza S03
Bridgestone RE750
Dunlop SP9000
Pirelli Zero Nero (and some other Pirelli's...I'm not big on them though)
Kumho Victoracer's
Toyo Proxes (lots of variets, RA-1, T1-S...great tires...normally expensive and some wear pretty quick...especailly the RA-1's)

Just a couple more that came off the top of my head.

Also...what kind of tires and what size tire are you using right now...just so I can guess what the difference might be like. Cause if your using some grocery getting tire...you will notice a HUGE difference with stickier tires...especially in cornering. I'm going to look at your profile...yeh...I still haven't...haha

Wow you got a great variety of opinions...not...mainly just mine, thats funny...hopefully other people will chime in and either agree with me or mention some other tires I forgot to.

Falken Azenis have too stiff of a sidewall for drag racing IMO. They are GREAT tires when it comes to cornering, however.

right now im using 17'' with some michelean tires. im buying my new rims with are 18'' volk gt-c or velox pg8. im looking for tires for my 17'' as well. so i mite try two diffrent makes.
