17" rims on 1g

This for all the guys running 17" rims/tires on a “1g”. I just purchased a set of 17x7 40mm offset rims and want to know which tires would be good.... all these I saw on eBay, don't want to spend an arm and a leg on tires...so give me a thought on the ones I am thinking of getting…please try and keep it in the list below. I understand there are better tires just I am on a budget…

1st...Falken Ziex ZE 225/45/17zr..brand new..(leaning towards these)
2nd..Kumho 711 225/45/17hr...brand new
3rd..Michelin Pilot Sport..225/45/17z…used 3/4-tread left

If there is a different size tire I should get or if i got the offset wrong plz let me know

I'm running 17x7.5" ROTA Tarmacs with a +38 offset on my car, and they've been great.

For wet climates, I highly recommend the Falken GR-Beta FK451's.

These will NOT hydroplane.

I was taking one of my friends home (a chick) in a rainstorm and was passing everyone nasty at 85 MPH in an absolute deluge of water. Very good tires. You could do better... Say, Azenis Sports in the dry, but as a DD tire, they've been good to me. Especially in the rain. Showing off to a girl.

If your looking at the Pilot Sport price range, I'd say go for either Bridgestone RE-750s in that same size or BFGoodrich G-Force KDW 2s. They both cost less than the Pilot Sports on Tirerack.com and I have personally driven a 1st Gen on 17x8s with the Bridgestones and they performed extremely well wet and dry. Also, I have heard only good things about the G-Force KDWs which is making me look into these for my 1st Gen (17x8s) once I need new tires. (Check out the reviews on Tire Racks site because a few of the reviews directly reference the other tires on your list)
