yeah so i bought the car with the ground controls and the kid forgot to put the key in the glove compartment so i can raise and lower them. does anyone know of a tool around the garage i can use to adjust the perch.

It's a 3/16" allen key. Be gentle. They only need to be tight enough to keep the collar from turning. If you over-tighten them, they will seize.

thanks but im not talking about tthe allen key. im talking about the tool you get that actually has teeth and turns the collar.

anyone else wanna take a stab?

I don't think there is such a thing (which is why I assumed - sorry - that you meant the key) ... at least my kit didn't have one and I've never seen one. Once the locking bolt is loose, you should be able to rotate the collar by hand. At worst, use a pipe-wrench (wrapped in cloth) to get it started. If you can't rotate the collar either of these ways, then the locking bolt isn't loose enough or the whole thing is seized, in which case your friend PB'laster is called for.

The tool is called a spanner wrench. I would recommend just calling up Ground Control and asking them if you can buy one. They come with all of their kits. Hope that helps.

mine didnt come with one either. but then again, after you loosen it, i've never had any problems turning it. if it gets stuck, a flat tip screwdriver and a few taps with a hammer will shake it loose.

I must have been screwed also because I didnt get one either. I would just raise the car with a jack to take load off the spring then do whay you gotta do. I guess you could call GC and order one but I would just jack it up.

eh, its not a needed tool. i'd end up spending more money on the phone call to them then the actual worth of that wrench.
