My brakes are vibrating like crazy when coming down from about 70 or so. They even have some vibration when braking from low speeds as well. Anyhow.

I was thinking about replacing them with OEM's and save some cash for other items(since my car doesn't require that much stopping power). That idea has quickly gotten scrapped because most places want $50+ per rotor. So onto the questions....

What suggestions so you all have for brake upgrades? I've seen that several people are happy with the Baer system. The same seems to be true with the TCE setup. I'm looking to replace all four rotors. They new setup HAS to fit with the stock 16" rims. I'm not in a position to buy 17" wheels anytime soon(not to mention its getting to be snow/ice weather).

I've looked at the AEM 2 Piece OEM Caliper upgrade. Seems like a nice setup. Any feedback? The Baer setup requires 17" rims right? How about the GSX upgrade I keep seeing? What needs to be done for that? Powerslots?

Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance~:thumb:

i'd reccomend the gsx upgrade......cheap and unless you are goin to be doing alot of hard braking(ie braking a few times in a row from triple digits) they should hold up fine to any abuse and last just fine. i am installing mine soon but i have a 91 laser.....and your a spyder....big weight difference. still consider the awd switch with a nice set of rotors and pads and you should be fine. good for a limited budget too.
all you need are the bigger calipers, mounting brackets, rotors and pads. your lines should bolt right up if you get 2g calipers( i believe all 2gs have banjo fittings, someone correct me if i'm wrong)

Powerslots are a waste of money, IMO. All you're paying for is a shiny rotor and some slots. 95 dollars a rotor (for us AWD guys)? Funk dat.

I'll get non slotted brembos for half the price, and some nice pads with the money I saved on not having them slotted.

If you're not doing hardcore track usage, I think the AWD 2 piston setup and some decent sport pads (Porterfield or Hawk) will be more than enough for you.

yeah just get the AWD rotors and Calipers and then slap some Metallic brake pads in there, ull be good to ..stop.

Well I ended up getting the AEM 2 piece cross-drilled & slotted rotor set for front & rears. I'll post up once I get them installed.

I did a stock 16" wheel package right from the start. Like the others, later you can 'go large' as your needs change.

This on a 2G with the five spoke wheel.
