Wheelmax.com is having an amazing tire/wheel package sale

http://www.wheelmax.com/newsale/sale.htm

ending Sunday and I have searched like a mo-fo but can't get my specific question answered regarding what combo.

I want the look of the two attached member's pics:

The blue one is jdmawd
235/45/17
17x7.5
35 mm offset

The red one is NDgsx
245/40/17
17x8
38 mm offset

Obviously, getting the exact combos above will get me the look I want, but I can't get those wheels with the clearance tire/wheel deals going on at wheelmax. Here are my options (I know I want 17" rims):

All the 17" rims are 17x7.

I want the look of the following two cars and most of the wheels offered I want are 42-45 mm offset which really hammers it into the wheelwell.

Suggest tire sizes that could flush the tires with the body using 42, 43, 44, or 45 mm offset.

Their tire/wheel packages offer:
205/40/17, 215/45/17, or 235/45/17
I prefer hyperblack

QUESTION IS:
1. What is the maximum (highest number) offset I can go (i.e. most "sucked in" look, 45?)

2. with what biggest tire to fill well and be flush with the body,

3. and not rub and get that look?

Thank you so much for your time!!!!!

I think to do what you want with those choices of sizes you're going to need to use wheel spacers to move it out. As for tire size I'd go with 215/45/17, this is the closest over all diameter to stock.

I used to work at Les Schwab and we had quit using wheel spacers due to "strength" issues. Do you think that was just because they are a big company and they wanted to play it safe and not be liable? I mean, that is why they change every damn spring and part when doing a brake job (costing around 300 bucks), so they don't have any old part to become liable for not replacing.

Here are some tire size comparisons to further help you help me:

205/55/16 (stock)
sidewall 4.4" radius 12.4" Dia 24.9" Circ 78.2"

215/45/17
sidewall 3.8" radius 12.3" Dia 24.6" Circ 77.3" Diff from stock -1%

235/45/17 (The one I prefer, "biggest")
sidewall 4.2" radius 12.7" Dia 25.3" Circ 79.6" Diff from stock +1.8%

In an article from Sport Compact, it is best to keep within a few percent of the original tire's diameter. So my preference (235/45/17) is just under a "few percent".

Should I just get the wheel that pushes the tire out the most (42mm) and see?

Thoughts....?
