Hey guys,

I lowered my car a couple of months ago and never got a camber kit. Well lemme give yall some advice...GET ONE! I had to replace my 2 front tires bc of it. Anyways the real reason im posting this is to tell yall my little story and ask for a little help. So i get my Ingalls camber kit both front and rear in the mail and i decide to go to the shop and see how much they would charge to install. I read a couple of weeks ago on the boards that it would run u about $40 right? Thinking thats what they were going to charge i went anyways and i asked. After about 30 mins of disscusion between the little machanics they looked at me and told me "its gonna cost you about $400"!! EXCUSE ME $400?? Is that ridculous or am i just stupid and dont know anything about cars? After everyone's post and the friends ive talked you, $400 sounds EXTREMLY high for putting on a camber kit. Please if anyone has any sugestions or comments please post back bc i would really like 2 know if $400 is reasonable for installing a camber kit! Thanks guys!

Definitely not, major rip off right there. Its not hard to do it yourself if you want to save the cash. I did mine on my GS and it came out fine. My friend with a VW took his to a shop and it only cost him $50 to do all 4 wheels, I would do it yourself or find another shop.

There is a place locally that will do minor camber correction AND allignment for $70, and I know its not the only place in the country that will do it for that much.

If your a member of a local DSM club make sure you give that place some bad advertising. One thing about rip-offs, the places that bill you the highest usually do the worst work too. These are the guys that were too ugly to become used car salesmen.
