Hiya,

I'll be dropping my car soon, just bought some lowering springs. I was hoping to get some input on how much I should lower my car. Any idea on how low should I go? hehe Its a 2003 Eclipse GTS. I really hate the teeter totter look I want to balance out the front and back. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!:thumb:

if you've already purchased the springs your stuck with the height they are rated to drop the car.

I've already bought Coil overs with 0-4 adjust. I'm beginning to think I should of bought springs. I'm hearing that its difficult to adj coilovers to fit/level just right. Maybe it won't be too bad since my car is brand spankin' new and it hasn't had time to settle.

Coil overs are not hard to adjust. If their anything like Skunk2, GC, Max Speed, etc, then you can adjust easily with the wheels on, just raise it up a little. To get it even on both sides, just count the threads on the threaded pillar the adjustment collars sit on.

i just bought a 95 eclipse RS and i want to lower it some.. just enough to get a second look from ppl. i'm thinking springs and performance shocks but i want to do it right the first time... and having it cheap would be great considering i'm broke. help me out if ya can thx....

Well, just for a few pictures I dropped my 95 awd 2.25 - 2.50 inches, unfortunently when it was that low I ended up needing to drive it. You will scrape everything, and unless you go over speedbumps sideways your undercarrige will take a beating.

When you get close to 2" your cars practicality will be seriously compromised. IMO coilovers are the best decision because you are not stuck at a particular height. Just choose a nice level spot to do your measuring and fine tuning. If you don't have a level garage, self clean car washes are good.

ok maybe i'm just spacing but what does IMO mean again... i'm confused or maybe just out of it... thx lata:dsm:
