They both weigh the same and look the same. But the price is almost twice the amount. Is the quality of Racing Hart that much better where it justifies the price? Or is it the name that boost the prices so much.

RH is cold forged and Rota is pressure cast if I remember right. Forging is more expensive and stronger. You won't bend the Rotas though so to me it is a non issue. I know a lot of people running Rota wheels and none of them have bent.

The difference, as was previously stated, is in how they're made. But also it's the name and I believe RH is from Japan, which always jacks the price up. Add those three together and you have double the price. But I don't think it's worth it at all, I have the 18" Sub Zero's and wouldn't pay 2x for RH's, actually would have cost me 3x!

Well, depends on the CP035 wheel you're talking about... the Racing Harts CP035R actually weighs lot less when it's the same exact size as the Rotas in 17". For example, 17"x7.5"s are 13lbs for the RHs and 17lbs for the Rotas...

Unless my math is truly horrible, those numbers say the RHs leave you with 4lbs less unsprung weight per hub. That's the result of the forging process of the RHs versus the casting process of the Rotas.

This whole "is it worth it" crap is mostly up to your own judgement. While a set of lighter rims with lighter tires (yes, some tires weigh significantly more especially when you are going bigger), is great overall... you'll have to be the judge of how important it is to your application. If you want to squeeze every last hp to the ground as possible, then a premium lightweight wheel is the answer. If you absolutely MUST have most suspension compliance out of your setup as possible, again the premium lightweight wheel is the solution. However, you have to decide whether those gains (yes, they ARE noticeable) are worth the large $$ premium if you can afford both. I couldn't afford so the Rotas are the next best thing. Also, Volk does make magnesium alloy TE37s that are even lighter than the RHs. Unfortunately for you autoXers and road racers, the largest width Rotas come in are 7.5"... a 8" or bigger would have been perfect.

I actually own Rotas myself and they are VERY strong (Battles). The BEST place to purchase Rotas would have to be Groupbuycenter.com... I purchased mine from Revolution Motorsports through there with a set of Kuhmo 712s mounted & tuner lugs.

Actually, I think the CP035R only comes in an 18" diameter. The "regular" one-piece CP035 comes in 15"-18" and are still pretty light-- and like you mentioned, will leave your wallet pretty light as well. Who can afford to pay $450-$600+ PER WHEEL??? I know I certainly can't...

Rota sub zeros own. I have had a pair for 3 months now and I love them. Havent had any bending issues at al.l Its also very tough to argue with the price $450 shipped for a set of 17x7.5 is a hell of a deal.

I bought the ADR Concept Pro RS Limited 17" wheels and Khumo Ecsta Supra tires for $800 shipped. I weighed the wheels at 14.8lbs each, and the tires at 24.5lbs. Love em

My RH CR Multi-Piece 19x7.5 just came in the mail last week. Wrapping them with Parada Spec 2's. Get what you can afford.
