if im not having traction problems right now (not making enough power to spin the tires) but i went ahead and got Khumo MX's or NT 555s, would they make my car faster?

like would the car stick better or something?

Wow you must not know that much about cars. not dissing on you or anything. But no they will not make you faster, that is like saying that shoes will make me faster. The only way you can be faster is if you got some lightweight rims.

i will bet i know more then you do about cars asshole

its a simple question, could a softer tire make me launch harder/hook better then a harder one considering im not already having traction problems

If you're not overpowering your current tires, "better" ones wouldn't be.

There would be better traction, but I don't think you could measure it. Of course, not much feels better than new tires.... also, the deeper tread could cost you some traction through squirm, and whether a better compound will compensate for that, I just don't know. This sort of thing is awfully expensive to research. I remember that during the old T/A street tire racing series, you were allowed to shave the tread to half-depth, and many of the racers spent laps just grinding the tread down further.

Tires let you corner faster. So yes they do make you faster.

tires are one of the best upgrades you can do to a car!!! and if you need new tires, might as well get ones that stick for future upgrades in HP ;)

no, you wont even notice a difference with light wheels(as far as acceleration).. i think its like 6-8 lbs of rotational weight taken off of each wheel is 1hp, depending on where the weight is taken off of course..
