I need a lot of help with my suspension and tires. I was thinking to get the Toyo Proxes T1-S but I am not sure if those would be best for my 99 gsx. If you got another tire that might be better, TELL ME! Also I always wonder wut suspension to get. I need good coilovers, struts, sway bars, and shocks. So please help me with my 99 gsx!

First off, what will be your ultimate goal? A kick ass autocross car, drag car or street car? I personally use Ground Control Coilover, Koni Yellows and Falken Azenis and they seem to work well together.

Being in Oakland, dont' get the Toyo's. The hard roads will chew them up and they don't have good (they are descent, but not good) water excavation, compared to some tires that will cost a lot less and last longer. As for shock/springs....hmm. The eclipse doesn't have a lot of suspension travel to begin with, and as I said before I know the roads of Oakland and you will need to be able to take potholes and such all the time. Do not get anything with more than 1.5" drop if you go with a permanent spring. Coilovers are your best bet. Which ones, up to you. I prefer getting a "true" coilover setup with a shock tuned to the spring (i.e. JIC Magic FLT-A2). Shocks (if not going with a "true" coilover) is a toss up. It's all a matter of what ride you want. Don't go with Tokico Illuminas if you drop it more than 1.5" EVER. They have very long rods and bend in a heartbeat (I killed three in my GS-T; 2.5-3.25" drop depeding on how it felt that day; another story). Hope this helps some. I know it won't answer everything for you.
