loud squeeking from front/passenger side suspension

Ok the squeeking noise just started today and i had no clue where it was coming from at first. Then i noticed it was from the suspension. So it took a closer look and everything seems fine but i couldn't exactly pinpoint where it is coming from. I think it might be from one of the eccentric cam boltsfor the camber kit. I don't think its coming from the shock itself but i might be wrong. The suspension also travels just fine. I sparyed wd40 on it and it still squeeks!

It probably is your camber kit, I know ever since I had mine installed I have a horrid dry squeaking noise, kinda embarassing, but white lithium grease will take care of it soon enough.

hey this exact thing is happening to me!! its coming from the drivers side though. ive sprayed all sorts of shit on it. I dont have a camber kit either... car aint even lowered. thats tomorrow though Could somebody explain this?

i know this thread is every old but i have to comment on it.

i am having the same problem and couldn't figure out what was wrong.
every movement (bump, turning, get in and out of it) to the car will squeak the shit out of it.

please help me narrow it down.

Wow that may break a record. How long did you search before you found this relic? Suspension squeaking comes from dry rot and or too much free play in-between the bushing and the metal it is attached to. You can try and lubricate but that is only a temp. fix. Replace the bushings with prothane ones and it should not happen for another 10+ years.

Take a look at your ball joints while you are at it. I had a squeek coming from my front drivers side, I thought it was suspension, found out the hard way it was my ball joint.

Recall! That would be the first place to look. There are very many threads on the subject. Very easy to find. Your problem could possibly be fixed for free. It may not be the problem but it would be a great place to start.

i checked the NHTSA website and this problem was on the recall list.

go straight there. They will be able to give you the skinny. Or if the creaking squealing is really bad or if your wheel rocks back in forth when the front wheels are off the ground, don't drive it. Call your mitsubishi dealer with your vin info.
