Alright guys i ordered a set of H&R Sport Springs and they have a drop of 1.25 / 1.0 (F/R). I got a really good deal on them too. Now I was just wondering will i really need a chamber kit i don't wana have to find out the hard way and have my brand new tires start wearing uneven on me. And if i do need a chamber kit were is there a place that makes the best one for a decent price i don't wana spend more than $100 for a chamber kit if a cheaper kit will work just as well. I tried searching for this answer and came up with nothing that would be able to help me with my problem, and i hope you guys can point me in the right direction. Thanks

I talked with a reputable shop in my area and they said that on the stock suspenison with that drop a good alighnment shop should be able to correct everything. So should i for go the kit????

Where the hell did you get those numbers from? They lower your car a lot more than that...

i dont know about a 1g but i have the sport springs for the 2g and it lowers the car a bit more than what they say. on my car I definitly needed the camber kits, so to make sure just get an alignment after you lower the car and if you car needs a camber adjustment then you need to get some camber kits

The drop is right on guys.
I run the same setup, and just did the manual adjustment of rear camber and left the front alone (1g AWD only). No uneven tire wear I have noticed.

hey NAT01 I found a Vfaq somewhere about how the rear of the 1G's u can ajust the back camber enought to were you won't have to get a chamber kit. I think this is what LandoAWD refered to when he did the manual ajustment. I'll try and find out the link for you. If that works good because i've already spent $618 on the supsension already I don't wana have to spend $190+ on a Camber kit.

Thats what I was talking about, but I don't have the link :(

yeah, i tried the stock camber adjustment. but i think that the car is dropped more than an inch. i adjusted these bolts out all the way out cause i figured that the rear tires were worn way too much on the insides, and i was gonna need new tires anyway. it still looks "slammed". so i'm just gonna have kost or someplace put the stock suspension back on when i get snow tires for the original stock rims that i have. then when the good weather comes back next year, i'll get the camber kit and some new tires for the summer rims. hope some of my input helped. later :dsm: :thumb:

I hope that i don't have a camber problem that will make me have to buy a kit. LandoAWD how much do ur wheels look slamed??? u have H&R Spring w/ KYB AGX's right

Yup...check the gallery...I'll try to post pics this weekend, but the tires are almost straight up and down, if not completely.

Thats great to hear. My KYB AGX's and H&R springs should be installed by next Tue I'll post a before and after picture of the wheel gap i hope that it almost completly gets rid of that LOL. Thanks.

well, i think that from what i can see, it looks like my car is dropped lower than lando's. plus there is the fact that i have 16" tires. can anyone maybe give me an idea of how high the bottom of the middle of the fender is in the rear of a dsm with stock suspension/rims/tires? maybe this can give me an idea of exactly how much i should raise the car up. i think i'll end up having to get the camber kit, unless i can find 17" rims for next summer, and get rid of these 2G GST rims. One also has a bend in it, so it really gets annoying when i have to go down the highway and back knowing that there's nothing i can do to stop the vibrating.

*edit* just go to my gallery to see what i mean(before/after pics of the coil over's)

Well i don't know if these are any good but Taboo Speed Shop sells what looks to be a cheap camber kit to maybe hold u over till u can afford a good one like Ignals or something like that.

I'am not sure if that will help you or not but you could give it a shot its only $70 compaired to $190+ for Ignals.:thumb:
