Hey guys, me, again, anyways, just got my car a few weeks ago and finally the dealership got to look at it after a week of hold up. Unfortunately what turned into a simple suspension upgrade and timing belt replacement job turned into a minor nightmare. Today they informed me when i called to check on the status that b/c of the amount of underbody rust they had to break/replace alot of linkages and bolts to do the sway bars/shocks/springs. I think they even had to torch the front sway bar to free it from where it was so they could get it out
Now it is gonna cost almost double what they originally quoted me due to the additional work such as a new front A-arm , supposedly it has rusted enough to damage it and it has about a 1/4 inch play to it and the valve cover when they went to put it back on was cracked???? don't remember it like that but the guy who set up the appointment for me swears they are legit when they notice something wrong. And as you all may know the valve covers and A-arms alone aren't cheap peices. So, to prevent more problems due to rust, what do you think i should do WHEN i get my car back if EVER
I was thinking put it up on a lift (if accessable) and sand down all the underbody rust and use rust-oleum on all the parts then put some black exterior paint on to seal it all up??? Sound like it will prohibit the rust from spreading much if at all for now??? Any thoughts on anything i mentioned would be appreciated.

, so i had them replace those seals and when they went to put it back on they said it was "cracked".
