Hey guys I have the eibach prokit on my car right now and i need to get my car aligned. I was just wondering if anyone of you have the prokit on your car and got the car aligned with the right camber without putting a camber kit on because I have a camber kit and i don't know if should install it or not.

Thank,
Leo

exactly like onepimpclipse said, unless you go near or over 2" you will be fine (sportline kit). The prokit is only 1.3" all around and this will not affect the camber as much as it will the toe. Just keep them aligned and rotated frequently (even as soon as every oil change) to keep wear down.

well i put the ingalls camber kit on the front today and set it at the most negative camber i can set it at and then drove the car around OMG it's terrible i guess im going to take them off tomorrow.

What are you guys smoking??? If you drop your car anything over an inch you need a camber kit. You don't have to get one but you will eat tires quickly so its up to you. I've said this a million times and all Eibach owners know this. The Eibach prokit claims a 1.3 drop and they are right but just wait after a month or so it will be more like 1.5-2 inch drop. I don't like Eibachs at all thats why i went with H&R. Sportlines are the worst b/c they slam the car all around and even more after a month. You have the kit, put it on and get your alignment, you will be happy that you did. Trust me i had my camber out of whack for awhile when i got my springs put on and it ate tires like crazy. Especially in fwd turbo car where those tires spin easily it will wear even faster. Read up on more posts and you will understand.

I have to say one thing though, Sportlines with 17's look very nice!:thumb:

Yeah you have to put a kit on if you do any drop really. I did the eibachs and AGXs and then put it on the rack and my wheels were out more than a degree on each one which is really bad and I only put the pro kit on. So now I will be installing the eibach caster camber kit, also if any one who has done this please write about how difficult it was becasue I have no directions but I put my suspension on succesfully. :) and love it. :thumb:

Personally, Camel Lights.

My car is lowered about 1.5" in the front and also has a front camber kit that ADDS more negative camber. My tires are perfectly fine. Of course, my car's driver knows that it's toe that kills tires, not camber, so my car has zero toe on the street.

I have the ProKits and no camber kit. Been over a year and my car and tire wear is fine. Like he said above it is toe that kills.

My toe is in spec, rear camber is about 2 or 3 tenths of a degree out of spec, front camber is in spec. But if it worries you get the camber kits, and I imagine all cars can be a few degrees different due to manufacturing tolerances and the occasional curb check. When you get it aligned they will give you a sheet showing what it was when you brought it in and what they were able to get it to, go from there.

1fasteclipse,,
you put a front camber kit on and set it as negative as it can go and then complain about the ride???
YOU NEED AN ALIGNMENT BAD AFTER A CAMBER KIT!!!!
a camber kit will throw your alignment way off (toe) and make it unstable. Also, the rears are what need a camber kit the most w/ prokits, not the fronts. Just do the 15 dollar home depot camber kit for the rear, get an alignment and be done w/ it.

After putting on my prokits I had my dad align the car and watched him every step of the way. Both fronts were approx. 1.0-1.2 degrees off and the rears were both 1.3-1.5 degrees off. Just looking at the rear it was obvious that they were out of whack. So yea, getting this fixed is recommended. And of course Toe is worse for the tires, but please quit acting like camber isn't a problem. Any alignment tech will tell you that off camber will eat your tires up. I made a 900 mile trip while on leave right after my prokits were installed. I thought I'd listen to everyone who said that a camber kit wasn't necessary. My tires already weren't great but by time I got down there I definitely had to have something done...and get new tires. Fortunately my dad's worked there long enough (I used to) that the boss just hooked me up with a free set. Then my pop threw it up on the rack, long story short...toe was fine, and camber was as mentioned before.
