19x8 or 19x9 in the rear

right now i my suspension set up on my 97 GST includes tanabe GF210 springs and tokico blues on all 4 corners...and they all sit on 18x7.5 racing hart c2 evos...my question is that i want bigger/wider wheels in the rear and i'm not sure what will fit...i want to go with 19's...cause i've seen acouple of cars with 19's on...so what size tires and rims...and what offset would be good for this...

You have a GSX, as far as I know the wheels have to be the same all around or you'll eat some drivetrain parts.

To answer your question get 19x8 and a good tire size is 235/35/19. Its about the widest tire that shoudn't rub even with a 2" drop.

the widest to get is 19x8 and get 215/35/19 tires you have cannot have different size wheels unless you want to rebuild your tranny every 100 miles or so..

Are you for reals...why is this...i see those hondas with the rims on the rears..and stocks on the front...kinda of the same concept...but what's up about the tranny...any more details...???

You're AWD buddy, everything HAS to spin at the same speed else you will rip stuff apart. Honda's are FWD.

oh yeah...i forgot to mention that my car is a GST not a GSX...i dont know what happened when i registered, but in my profile it has GSX instead of GST...so that means...that i can run different sized wheels on a front wheel drive, correct???...

Long as both your front wheels/tires are the same size you should be fine. I still think 19's are kind of overkill, though.

Also, you can edit your profile to say GST.
