after lowering - creaking noise

I lowered my car 2 in with goldline springs. I used stock stuff for the rest of the install. Now I get a creaking noise and poping sound sometimes when the car goes over bumps and stuff like that. I know the springs will be loose since they are shorter so I tac welded one to the strut to see it that would solve it. Didn't work still got it. Is it the ball joints?

first off you should never have to tac weld anything. Are you still riding on stock struts?????

Did you go back through after you drove awhile and re tightened everything?

The welds can be broken. Yes I am using the stock struts. Yes I do have everything tighten down and I have checked it three times now. One thing I did notice is since I have lowered it I cannot get my jack under the middle of the frame anymore so I use a smaller jack which I put under the frame connection just in front of the tire to get it started. Their is some sort of bushing their connecting the frames together. When I was lifting it it made the creaking noise I hear on the road, any connections their, can I lubricate it to sop the noise. I am thinking also if it is the strut I can tap more threads on the shock bolt so I can tighten the nut down more.

Show me a pic of this bushing you speak of...

Also get rid of the stock struts. They WILL NOT last long if they are not alsready gone.

And NO , you do not have to tap the threads more. There is NO reason to do that. These things are designed to have a specific travel.

Also did you trim your bump stops in accordance with what the manufacturer said for your springs?

1. Yes trimmed bumpstoped. The springs are loose so that is why I wanted to tighen them down more.
