Working on the rear springs for now, until I get the spring compressor for the front... but anyways... any of you guys have a tip to get a damn bolt loose?... I got the main bolt for the control arm and everything, just need to get the top bolt that's in the hatch... the whole piston bolt thing keeps moving... Stephen (onepimpclipse) has helped me tons with tips... but we have run out of ideas... if anyone has had this problem post it up or PM me... I need help ASAP..... thanks for the space guys..

Spring compressor? You can do the entire project without a spring compressor. I've taken my suspension completley apart multiple times, as well as installing springs in a friend's dsm and have never needed a spring compressor.

As far as getting your bolt loose...I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but I think I know. I used some locking pliers (the robogrip type that you clamp and it locks) to hold the strut piston and then a simple wrench to lossen the bolt....if that's what you're talking about. If not, post some pics up. I can tell you though, for the entire job I only needed a ratchet set, locking pliers, couple wrenches, and a breaker bar (long handled ratchet to break the really big tight bolts). It's pretty simple after you do it once.

Everything is all good now.... I went ahead and just ordered some Tokico Illumina's... thanks for the reply.... and I know you dont need a spring compressor but it makes it 100x easier.... but that is what I was talking about...

car is going on 80k... decided to trust some new shocks rather than some stock ones that cud blow... thanks for replyin....
