Just wondering if i should keep the cut spring height that is pretty low (check gallery for pics) or go with a adjustable coil overs.?

Cut springs...eeewwww. I would personally go with some lowering springs but if you have the cash, go with some nice high quality coilovers. Get camber kits as well.

You should save your money on the cut springs and buy some 1G altezzas.

why would i buy 1G tezza's, if i would get them it would be the cf ones, but i still wouldnt buy them, And i didnt cut my springs, the previous ownder had them cut, and it rides like shit.

Then why in the world would you consider keeping them, or even worse, cutting them even lower:confused:

I wouldnt mind doing it just to see how low i can make it, but i wont keep it like that, I would do it if i had the springs or coil overs already, just to compare.......

As an engineer that has designed suspensions........... the cut stock springs will, 9 times out of 10, ride better than the aftermarket. That is if you cut them correctly. Depending on how they were modified, if the heat affected area on the coil that was cut was kept to a minimum then the cut spring will ride like the stock spring if it is not a progressive spring. (Cutting progressive springs is another story.)Cutting with a saw, not a torch, is most effective. I do believe the 1G springs are not progressive. Static and dynamic deflection or "jounce' of the suspension will be the same. The diffenence in ride will actually be handling. You've now affected the geometry of the supsension by lowering it. Effects of caster and camber start to effect the handling. (ie the reason upon lowering your car that you need to realign it or your tires wear wrong)

Think of it this way. If you are lifting someone on a teeter-toter, and you change your location on the board, you are able to change the amount of weight you can counter balance. Did you notice the effect of someone slapping or boucing on the other end and how the shock you felt at your end differed, depending on your location on the board? Same concept. The change in geometry in your car now transmits different loads through the system of parts. Making it feel harsher, but actually affecting the handling. People attribute handling to ride.

Typically, the aftermarket springs kits are progressive but stiffer to give that tighter "sport" feel to the ride. And in most cases, the ride is harsher, because of the higher spring rate.

If you cut them and did them right, keep the stock springs. If not, better buy some aftermarket springs, or get ahold of some more used stock ones to modify yourself.

Best of luck.
