I was in the process of acquiring a suspension set-up for my 90 AWD when I ran into an old friend of mine who now works at a Mtisu dealership. He recommended that I should put factory struts on the car with a little higher than stock gas pressure and a 1" drop eibach springs. He says that it is cheap, looks like a sleeper but drives like a 2" drop. I didn't believe him so he took me for a spin in his 91 Talon and that thing was taking turns at 85 MPH. Just thought I'd share...

depends on your rims/tires as well and does he have upper and/or lower f/r braces?... struts and springs are not the only variable but i would be pretty likely to take his advice

Did he happen to tell you how he got those 'little higher than stock gas pressure' shocks?

There is a place by me that can modify your stock shocks. They are in Montclair, NJ. I am sure other places can do it too. Just have to find them.

But at what cost? Rebuilding shocks can be fairly cheap, revalving/reshimming them on the other can be expensive, depending on what you want to get done.

You can get them from the factory with a higher pressure. All you have to do is ask and they are the same price. I just ordered some today from the local Mitsu dealership.
