Ok i just put on H&R sport springs with Kyb Gr2's. They ride great and look good but my only problem is that my left side is lower than my right side. The car looks level just looking at it but the gap in the wheel well is what caught my eye. There is a noticable difference in the gap maybve about a 1/4-1/2 an inch. Any suggestions to why this would happen would be appreciated.

That seems to be a somewhat common problem w/DSMs. One side sits slightly lower than the other, usually the driver side being lower. I wouldn't worry about it. No one can see it but you.;) :)

thats how mine is, i have the H&R sport springs and the driverside sits alittle lower than the passengerside. Looks odd sometimes but it doesnt affect my driving

my sportlines do the same thing...it looks like im tuckin my driver side
i was jsut about to make a psot about it then i saw yours

it's just the way it is, my 98 TSi also has the same issue. It even had it with stock shocks only it was less noticable. It is believed that it is due to the fact that the engine is not centered in the bay and is more on the left side. Add 200-300 pounds worth of driver meat and bones and there ya have it. Only way to deal with it is to get coilovers and even it out but it's a total headache plus coilvers have shittiest ride quality. It says "for off road use only" on them for a reason.

i wonder if i can cut the bump stop on the passenger side alittle to compensate for the unevenness. It bothers me so much that the passenger side doesn't look as good as the driver side.

same problem here, i hear progress springs fix this... but progress springs are shit i hear aslo hah

This is true of pretty much any car, just because of the added weight of the driver all the time. After a lot of mileage, swap L/R and it helps some.
