Need Help! Grinding noise?

I've searched, but since I don't know what I'm looking for I'm coming up empty handed. Okay, so when I turn the wheel or hit a bump I hear a noise like metal hitting metal, or sort of grinding when I turn. It's coming from the front of my car. A friend of mine thought it was my outer tie rods since they were shot anyways. I replaced them. Now he didn't have a grease gun so he just filled them up. Could it be that I need more grease in the new tie rods?

Or, I saw a mention in one thread of what could have been the same noise and someone suggested the sway bar bushings. Is that a posibility?

Or, could it have anything to do with my rotors?? I know they need to be replaced, and I just replaced my pads about the time the noise started. A guy at work mentioned they could be warped and rubbing or hitting somewhere?

I don't mean to sound like such a girl.....but I have no phuking clue!

Help me.....please somebody help me

Is it like a pounding noise that happens over and over or just a constant grinding?

It happens over and over. If I hit a pot hole, I hear it. If I turn, I hear it. Going straight on a smooth road, I don't hear anything....

my grinding was the speed output sensor, but the grinding was only during gear changes and the speedo-needle dropped to zero (even if I was goin 55)

I too have grinding noise problem, different but worst. Problem started years ago when I noticed a high squeeky noise (front) when ever I turn and slight grinding noise when coming to stop (rear). (over and over) the problem gets worst over time and grinding becomes louder and consistant even cruising at 60mph. I try to use my brakes as little as possible so I don't turn heads at every traffic light. eventaully changing rotors puts me back to the beginning and the new cycle begins. I have gone throught 2 front rotors, 3 rear rotors and 2 rear calipers. This time I took her to a reputable local shop next to a Mitsu Dealer and they told me my bearings were shot which causes the grinding and faulty brake lines and hand brake cables was the cause of warped rotors, make sense. The car went in the shop this week for 2G front big brake upgrade, rear rotors(not the calipers), stainless steel lines, new bearings and both hand brake cables. I just picked up the car this afternoon and she seems fine at first (boy was I a happy man) until I took the exit for my house where the squeeking started. Worst yet , that horrible griding as I pulled up my drive way.

I don't know what else to do anymore, help is much needed.
I think the problem started after I upgraded suspension, it was lowered and have slight - camber, could that be the cause?

I took the car out today, not only the noises consistant, there seems to be something loose on the front left whenever I hit a bump. I will take the car back to shop on Monday but have a feeling they would just tell me something else needs to be changed, my ass is broke.. Please help!
At least point me to the right direction for anwers. Thanks.

Got my car fixed! I had someone look at it and they thought it was my sway bar bushings so I figured that wouldn't cost to much to fix. I took it in to a shop and asked them to check it out. They said my bushings were fine, it was my lower lateral(sp?) ball joints! , it was going to be $500+ to fix. But I remembered that was on recall. I've gotten the re-call notices before and I've even had them checked out before and the dealer had said they were okay. Well not anymore. So that's one noise down.....still have some others to work on
