coilovers making car higher?

i just put max speed adjustible coilovers on my car , they are at the lowest setting and my car now sits about a 1/2 to and inch higher than it did with stock springs, somebody tell me why this is happening?

Well, if they are BRAND NEW they'll need to settle in. Past that, maybe you installed them upside down or something screwy like that.

no i took them out switched them around like 4 times, that cant be it but i was told today by someone who puts them on professionally and they said that eclipses have wierd suspension and i would need to replace the rear struts , aut the spring stands off the truts and let he sleeve for the coilovers slide lower thus letting the spring sit lower on the strut. this kinda makes since seeing as right now i have about an inch of room to bounce (not good) so basically i need to put a lot more money into it just to get it lowered, needless to say i am not driving it until i can get that fixed

i had the EXACT same problem!!! maxspeed is such a scam. my car sat about a half inch higher too, and it rode like absolute shit.

do youself a favor, and dont even screw around with them, its a waste of time. cut your losses and get yourself some eibachs or intrax. i bought the intrax and put tokico illuminas on, and imo, the car rides better than stock, and handles 10x better. it also sits so much nicer.

Wow. With my Ground Control coilovers, I'm at stock height with them cranked as high up as the car will go! I can't even drop the car to the lowest setting without everything rubbing.
