Not bad, but they look heavy.

Nah thats the best part, i thought they were gonna be heavy, everyone warned me i'd lose my power from my mods beacause of weight, but their a one piece wheel, so that cuts weight down alot. Not like most bling'n chrome wheels that are 2 or 3 piece wheels. Plus only the face is chrome the rest of the wheel is aluminum and coated silver. So more wieght savings!!

I like em

Thanx man! Yeah you could say that its definetly an attention getter! Now i just need to get a few more mods to support the looks! Cant look fast without being fast, thats the goal for the summer. But i got the rims from a shop in CALI i originally found them on www.wheelmax.com, however wheelmax was sold out so i search for about a month and found them. I was thinking about getting the 19's with my 2.2 inch drop but i figured suspension travel is important! I guess it came out pretty good:D

No wait i'm sorry let me aplogize why dont you post a reply and explain to me exatly how the spoiler is not functional.. since you have such a vast array of experience with windforces, and especially the downforces on MY 98 SPYDER GST!

Ummm...a spoiler on a dsm no matter how large it is is non-functional. The only way a spoiler or a wing or whatever is funtional is on a rwd race car. Repeat...RWD RACE CAR! For examble, a spoiler on a Mustang serves no purpose other than looks. Unless, of course you drive your Mustang 190mph on street roads. Hence why Corvettes have no spoilers but the C5R racecar does have one. Any speed under 100mph prohibits any spoiler to "function".
Besides, that's not even the point of this thread. It's not a look at my car thread, it's a look my my rims thread. Good day!

You should know since you got the biggest one they make :p

Them rims on that car is focking sweet looking, but I think you should paint the wheel wells black again it would make it look even better.

Ok, you didn't get a staight answer, so here goes. Your wing provides downforce. What little downforce it does produce will push the BACK of the car down. Go outside and push down on the back of your car. What does it do? Oh look the front goes up. Hey look no traction on FWD cars. ;) But still...to get that kind of downforce you would have to be going at a very high speed, and there would be no worry about loss of traction anyway....especially no loss of traction from it off a hole shot

Maybe...maybe...if you put the wing on upside down, it will produce lift, thus taking weight off the back and providing more traction. ;)

But I think we can all agree that:
a: It's for looks.
b: Terminator wings used to be cool. (sorry Miza) :D
c: It will never produce enough downforce to do anything really.
d: You know nothing about aerodynamics.
e: I attend the best aeronautical based university in the world.
f: Your over-reacting.....he was joking....so go get your paper bag and take a few deep breaths.
g: Your hogging 3 parking spaces.

The purpose of a spoiler is not to produce downforce, it is to reduce lift. In order for it to work, it needs to be about the same height as the roofline, or in your case, the soft top or top of windshield.

The simplest example I can think of to explain how a spoiler works is a wind deflector used on convertibles. A spoiler works the exact same way.

Sorry guys i was having a bad night i started a post in the hangout, i was just irritated and frustrated, so i was over reacting (damn females) I kinda went loco last night, but i seriously hate when people hate on the ride and talk shyt about it. We all invested money, time, and love into our DSM's... No matter where it is go or show...

but also as far as the drag the spoiler creates, what if i'm not at the drag strip but at a track, a lil downforce can really help in the corners. And yes I know i'm not traveling that fast for it too help... but it looks ####ing awsome!
