AEM Big Rotors

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

they work, but look good while doing it. i don't run them but you cna do a simple search on the internet to find out. also this has nothing to do with turbo-nt tech.

RRE is currently selling the Big Rotors for only $380.00 which I believe is a good deal compared to other places.

However the Baer set-up looks pretty tantalizing, especially since it includes the 2-Piston Calipers already.

Does anyone have the Baer set-up?

I was weighing the differences between the 2(AEM and bear myself) I might go with the Baer because they are local, good quality, and I can get a good deal.

yeah, we wouldn't want the world to know how some companies practice business. Then the truth just might be let out  the bottom line is rre were dicks to me and I didn't say anything rude to them nor did I have a rude demeanor torwards them. I don't see whats wrong with voicing the truth.

.....

I have to agree that "no vendor bashing:rolleyes: " defeats some of the purpose of posting. People post and read to avoid getting screwed by some half-a$$ company.

exactly. However I never said anything about actually gettin screwed by rre nor did I say that they are a half-ass company. They obviously know what they are doing and have a lot of loyal customers/fans out there, I was merely stating that even though I had spent money with them before, that last time I called them to order those brake parts they were extrememly rude to me and that I don't give my money to people who disrespect me. Thats all.

I have about 20,000 miles on my AEM big rotors and metal matrix (metal master? You know what I'm talking about though) pads.

If I lay on the brakes hard at 120+, this combo will fade at about 45 mph with a full weight 2g, including stereo/subs and a full tank of gas. I also have run some of that 3" dryer/brake ducting, which helps the recovery time quite a bit.

My pads are near the end of their lives, so I am gonna try the R4-S pads next. Rotors still look great (a small bit of a shake around 25 mph though, so they may be very slightly warped).

i have the aem big rotors... ummm sorry but i havnt tried slamming on the brakes from 120... but i do lots of mountain runs with no fade evnew ith hard braking all the way down.. they also have better response and stop my 3000 lbs car pretty damn quick

I have the AEM Big Brake kit with the Caliper Relocation Kit (Front & Rear), Stainless Steel lines, Axxis Metal Master pads, and some type of high heat race brake fluid. I've never had these to fade, although I've never slammed on the brakes at 100+ mph. great looking setup and great working setup. These do produce crazy amount of brake dust up front and they feel rough when you brake.

Whats the best pad to use on these? I would like to try something other than the Axxis....

Good info, I decided awhile back that I wanted the AEM setup. Glad to see good reviews and some cons so I know what to expect.

hmm..this is what I was looking at I would have expected the rotors to be bigger than that.
