I'm rubbing now....

OK. I just got my Ground Controls, Koni's, Sway Bars, Bushing kit, Baers, AEM's, 18X8 with 225/40 tires, and about a 2 inch drop.

When I take a hard turn, I get a rubbing noise. It sounds like it's coming from the rears and there is a bit of a clean ring around the the tire on the inside. I think I'm rubbing on the arm that goes over the tire. I lefted the rear to see if it helped and it did a little.

Would spacers and/or a camber kit help. I'm thinking it will fix the problem, but I wanted to get all your advice on it. Maybe I should firm up my koni's somemore?

If you don't have a camber kit get one first.

If that still doesn't work you may need spacers.

is the ring on the inside or outside of the tire? if its on the inside then your hitting the control arm. i had this problem and i bought spacers. also, my tires were rubbing the fender lip too, but after the alignment, i dont think my rear tires even go up into the well anymore. i just have to fix my front left fender because big bumps make my tire hit the fender on the inside...oh well, guess thats what i get fro 235 width tires and a 2" dop

The ring is on the inside of the tires. It's been aligned. I think the side wall is rolling a bit and causing it to rub. At stock height with the 18's on it never rubbed. But now the camber is off so it's alot closer to the arm. When I turn hard, the tires roll a bit and rub on the now closer suspension arm

sounds like you just need a camber kit.
