I was driving to a friends dorm in Chicago and was getting on to lake shore drive south entrance ramp on I55 hit some mean dips and pot holes. Did think much about it but could feel my cars pain thou. When I get to the dorm and park, I start to hear this creaking noise when I turn the wheel. WTF!!! The only think I can think of is it's my Ball Joints. But I got thous recall. Has this happen to anyone else? Has anyone had the same problems and know what it is. Thanks for the input.

ball joints is a good guess......but something like that could be a number of things. I HATE that "thud" sound that you get when something like that happens......it makes your stomach drop

I was talking to one of the Mitsu mechanics and they told me that a lower car put a lot of stress on the ball joints and that could happen. But come on they like 0ne year old ball joints. I'm think it's the other guys. that hold the wheel in place

I think you should check the tie rod ends. They could go just as easily as the ball joints. Check all your control arm bushings too.

I will put money on one of the grease packed bushings has blown grease outta it check to see if n e thing looks flat underneeth.....

see on the bottom of the sway bar end link how it has a grease pack type of thingy.....see if it has blown grease out.....(not out of your endlink)

my car was recently slammed! is that why i have oil shit all over my rims when ever i drive it lately?

Does it look like oil or grease?? if it is oily then I would think your shox blew out and left you a present of fluidly goodness ;) but if it looks like grease then I would check all your bushing packs and whatnots

I wiggled my wheels up down, side to side. Nothing???? I just put in sway bars and I was going to replace the endlinks. There sitting in my bedroom. Also I did the energy suspension on my car so it can't be the bushing but I will look into it. :thumb: Any other advice? If I can't solve this I will take it into the dealership. I still have a warrenty. :shhh:
