Tires on a 16x7" wheel.

Yeah, so I really don't know much about tires and I searched around at a good number of places to find an answer, but I can't seem to find what the widest tires I can fit on a 16x7" wheel with a +40mm offset are.

Anyone?

Did you try www.tirerack.com? They have good info on what will fit. If you can't find anything on their site give them a call. Free advice man.

I have 16x7 enkei's on my dsm, but I decided to go with the stock size tire, 205/55/16. I will probably never race this car, and I figure tire replacement will be cheaper this way when I get rid of the car. Also, by not maxxing out the width, I can break the tires loose easier when I feel like it. My kumho ectsta supra's hold pretty well even in the stock size anyway. It was my best cost effective tir/wheel upgrade 8 months ago. Maybe now you can find a better deal. Good luck to you.

225/50/16 fit nice. I had them on my 99 GS they fit perfect.
also Yokahama Avid H4's have a 45,000 mile warranty. (not sure about them having that particular size). I've got 235/45/17 now. The tires I just mentioned. EXCELLENT ride and a 45,000 mile warranty, you tell me?
