hey, i recently ordered the H&R lowering springs. i asked for the ones that dropped appx. 2'' and they had to ship them in, the problem is that when i got them (yesterday) i think that they might be the sport (1.4'' drop) rather than race, because mine are black and i thought that the race were red. my question is, should i jsut stick with these?? will my car still look lowered? and is there much of a difference from the 1.4'' to the 2''?

thx for the input -rob

Well, you probably won't need camber adjustment with just a 1.4" drop. However, if you want your car to look 'slammed', it isn't going to with just the 1.4". So, just call them and ask and make sure they sent you the right ones. I would stick with the 1.4" but you obviously wanted 2.0", so at least call them and verify.:thumb: :dsm:

jsut checked h&r site.... should have done this earlier, but for the sport spings they give 2 codes
52963 for awd sport, 52962 for fwd sport, and for race its 52962-88, so i didnt see the 88 so i think i still have the sports

I have H&R sport. Althought it's not "race" it lowerd my car more than 1.4 in. it's more like 1.7 in. I have 97 GST. I think you should keep the "sport," cuz "sport" is more expensive than "race."

oops, didn't notice you had a FWD. ;) In any case, I would keep the sports. The race springs will jar your brains lose in short order. :(

I put the sport springs on my 97 GST. They were supposed to be 1.7" in the front and 1.4" in the back. I forgot to measure the car before doing the suspesion, but I went and measured another stock GST. Mine ended up with about a 2.5" drop in the front and 2.25" in the back.

The car looks bad ass and I don't scrape very much if I'm careful.

Where did you buy your springs from? I'm in the market for some aftermarket spring...

I bought my springs and shocks from prostreetonline.com. Good prices. The springs were back ordered, so it took awhile to get them.

They ride very nicely. It's a little on the bouncy side when I have my stocks adjusted to stiff, but if I loosen them up, it rides smooth as ever. Personally I like em a little on the bouncy side. :D
