Driving with Springs and stock Shocks

I've been driving around for 1 year with goldline springs and stock shocks. A friend has been telling me Im crazy and I need to get new shocks ASAP. Who here has been driving around with springs or coilovers and still riding with their stock shocks on? How long have you been riding around like this? Will my stock shocks eventually blow? What exactly will happen if they blow? THanks for the info!!!

Depends on how old your shocks are.

3/4"-1" you could be ok for a little while on a 98ish and above. A year is really pushing it.

My car is 10 years old with stock springs and shocks. And I can tell you they are both at the point of no return right now.

Now if you are at a 1.5"-2"+ drop then I'm suprised you've made it a good year. If you are a 2g then does your car pop sometimes when you go into turns? From what I have seen out of my friend's 626 and another's 99 Civic a Macpherson suspension system sometimes doesn't take too kindly to any kind of drop.

I guess i really need to get them changed.. Mine is a 95 eclipse with a 2inch drop
