R1 coilovers and tokico blues

So i just got my R1 sport coilovers and tokico blues put on today and i just was glancing through here and i'm getting kinda worried. I have the coilovers adjusted halfway so about 2 inches and the ride isn't too bad. However i've been hearing that these cheaper coilovers will ruin the struts. Am i screwed? I really don't wanna mess up these struts and the guy at the store who installed them said i can lower it up to about 3" before it will start hurting the struts. Anyone know anything about this???

Yeah i know first hand experience I had a cheap pair of coiloves and had it lower all the way and it really messed up my car. Screws would come loose and a motor mount broke. Be careful how low you put it. My front struts which are tokico blues did blow after 3 and a half months. I just switched to skunk2 and they are 100 times better. So i would spend more money on coilovers now and have a good ride then having to spend a lot of money later and have a crappy ride. just my advice and i know thats not what you wanted to hear but it's from experience. Just looking out for people. hope this helps some.

i don't have it dropped that low just like 2" and thats the LOWEST i am going. The guy at the shop said i could go 3" but i've heard no matter what when you pass 2" you start f ing stuff up. So will i be ok at a 2" drop? I really don't wanna blow out a $380 set of struts anytime soon. Eventually i will probably go to just standard lowering springs but i like the coilovers for now.

i have ractives and they are f%*#ing up my shocks but that's also cuz i'm slammed to the ground and only have one of the two coils on. i'm lookin into a set of teins but i don't kno how keen i am on dropping a grand on coilovers but i really want the ride quality and i know it will handle awesome especially since i'm running 235/35/19's and have all three strut bars
