I have an early 95 gsx with the vented rear rotors. Are the front calipers the same on the early 95s as the rest?

Yes, the front calipers are the same on all 2g AWDs. You know, I was reading the other day I think it was ACM who was spouting off about the 1995 model and how it had all these options/touches that never made it to another year for some reason like cost savings.

Your larger, vented rear rotors are a prime example.

Just confirming, above is true.
Adding, 92-99 front rotors are all the same for our DSM.

Hey !

I don't spout, I pontificate !

And yes, the prop valves are very different.

Where's that tea pot emoticon, bet I could spout with that...

Ah, this should do nicely.
...the dust shield, hand brake parts, they're all identical on all 2G AWDs.

There is however a big difference in the proportioning valve specs - the early car should be fine with Evo brakes all round, whereas the later car will probably need rear pads made of Teflon to get the bias back in line :)

This is where I was previously getting my information.
FWD and AWD prop valves are the same on 2Gs. What matters is whether it is w/ ABS or w/o ABS.
