i can get the prokits for 185.00 and i can get the progress springs for 149.00.Wich one should i get that would look the best on a 2g eclipse with a body kit and 17's.I want a nice ride also, not a stiff bouncy one.

prokits 1.2
progess 1.5
Wont they both settle lower than they say?

I say Pro-kit, probably better ride, and with the body kit it won't be as low, which is better so you don't scrape every bump

I like my pro kit. I have probably one of the best riding lowered rides around (my friends dropzones are pretty nice too).

If you are getting a body kit, then anything more than pro-kit is going to be ridiculous. My friend on his 2" dropzones is kicking himself now because his car is about an inch off the ground. His body kit is going to be finished tomorrow and a group of us are going to watch him try to drive off and see if he hits this bump on the way out.

I have a prokit on mine and its definitely low enough if you're going for a kit. Even with just the prokit I scrape a good bit, eventhough we do have pretty bad roads here.

Progress all the way!!!! The best setup I have ever found for a normal spring/shock setup is the Progress Spring Tokico Shock combination. Throw in the progress sway bar and you got a very clean handling machine. The progress actually drops 1.8" not 1.5" As soon as I get my car back (Hopefully tonight god dammit) I will post pics of what it looks like with the progress tokico setup.

The progress springs are only $129 when you create an account and live out of CA (Store implies sales tax if account isn't created)

One more thing.... True high quality springs do not settle. Settling is the weakening of the bushings and shocks from the change in suspension angle, low quality springs will also compress further than they should over time.

whats the lowest i should go with a body kit? I want it to look good but i dont want to scrap on every little bumpe a f#ck up my body kit.

That depends on the kit. A friend of mine had a 95 converted to 97 spec with the blitz front end and had the progress spring tokico combination. He did swap the Blitz in for the Street Fighter 2 though because it was too low and he was scraping the bottom right/left corners horrendously. The only true way of being sure your bodykit wont scrape is to get coilovers. Fact is that there are way too many factors to say for sure body kit x and spring y is ok. Such factors include body kit manufacturing imperfections, worn out suspension bushings/shocks, etc.

Here is what I know from experience about some popular springs and how they sit
Measured from the center headlight mark:
Pro Kit 23-23.25 Inches
Sport Line 21.9-22.2 inches
Progress 22-22.25
Worst case scenarios
progress 21.6 (replaced bushings and rose to 21.9)
