Just front springs?

I'm trying to stay away from the hassle of getting a camber kit. If I just lower then front about 3/4"-1" with from spring and add some adjustable shocks all the way around how do you think it would handle? The wheel gap looks huge in the front so looks would be a added bonus :)

this applies if you car is a 2g:

you could probably do it, but your car is going to have a major rake to it. This is good for drag racing, but I'm not sure how it will be for everyday driving, nor am I sure how cool it will look.

If I were in your position. I would buy some used springs, then buy just a rear camber kit. The rear is the only one that gets really bad camber anyway. The Progress rear camber kit works fine. It just metal plates that you slide in behind the upper suspension mounts (I'm sure there's another name for those). Its really easy to do.

And if you can put on the front springs, then the back ones are super easy to put on. So you might as well get a whole set of springs. Save money buy used ones. Then put on a rear camber kit, while your putting on the rear springs. Then take you car down to have the alignment checked out, and then your car will have a good suspenion set up... on all four corners.

yeah it's a 2G gst.

A 3/4 - one inch drop isn't that much...the whole idea is to not get a camber kit. Most lowering springs lower the front more then the rear by 1/2 inch anyways. Just eye balling the wheel gap, the fronts look bad compaired to the rear, I would think a 1" drop in fonrt would look just perfect for the stocker 16" rims which I plan on keeping.

that's cool, its your car...I just thought if your going to take the suspension apart to put shocks on all four corners, then it just seems practical to go ahead and throw some stiffer springs in the back too, cause you don't want to squishing in the back when you launch. But yeah its up to you... definately keep those stockers

I don't think you're going to find any lowering springs that'll give you just a 3/4" - 1" drop. At least I've never seen 'um....

Well I figured with the adjustable shocks in the rear it wouldn't squish down so much and by having the front lowered a little more it would keep more weight in the front in the first place. I'm trying to find a balance between looks and performance for the stock 99 chrome rims.

Im not even sure if I can find springs with that little of a drop.

If I go all out the most I'll go is 1.5" up front and 1" rear, but that would probably be twice the cost once u figure in camber kits, extra set of springs, labor if I need help. I still need cash later to upgrade the turbo. I should have about a 97 or so. Would have more cash to spend :)
