Already so I know a ton of us have wanted to create these, but I have not seen pictures up of their setups. So I just got mine in from the machine shop (of course after I parted out my car) so id figure id post these up to show you guys what the finished product looks like.

The bolts look like they could interfere with the motion but they havent touched anything so far after 5 events. If I can find a button head in that size to replace it I might, but so far not a problem.

Also, I made the spring perch since I had the GC setup already and didnt want to bother trying to buy it separate from the koni kit.

With the inconsistancies between koni's, I havent worried about it..You'd probably pee yourself if you saw the crap springs in the rear. I wanted to try the rate, they were ultra cheap (used), and the car is so much faster this year now Im scared to change anything...for now.

Last year I was winning by the skin of my teeth, now Im killing the comp by 1-2 seconds.

I wonder if anyone has pics of the RRE upper mounts for comparison. I have them on my car (though with some changes to the spherical bearings) with KW Variant 3 coilovers as of last Thursday but we were in such a rush I don't think I took a good picture of them, doh.

Not that it matters much as I believe RRE doesn't keep them regularly in stock anymore. I know Robispec had to order a batch to justify having RRE machine them to get a single set for my car. Might be useful though for someone picking up suspension through Robispec I guess.

How expensive were these mounts? Do they use spherical bearings (sorry but I can't see them if they do... maybe i'm blind?), or if not what do they use? I've only seen the rubber bushings that come with ground control hats and the spherical bearings used with RRE's and these don't look like what I recall seeing last week before putting them in the car.

Yes, the use Aurora spherical bearings in the upper hats.

The shaft of the damper goes through a spherical bearing, so the upper hat pivots freely. From what I gather from other threads, the RRE mounts have the spring sitting on the upper hat and not offset like these do. Is that correct?

These cost me about $150 + 5hours of my time in the machine shop. The $150 covered 2 spherical bearings, 2 helper springs, 6 bolts, and 2 spring clips. Material was left over from another project Im working on and is 6061 alum.

Yes I believe you're right. I hadn't looked before asking my questions but just remembered I have a pic of the rears on my phone. It's only have a bad pic of the rear coilovers assembled on my phone here with me (I might have one of the fronts on my dslr at home) and they don't have a seat offsetting them from the upper hat, and instead are sitting directly on the hat itself.
