Wheel Jerk....

Im about to buy a 91' Tsi AWD, and the only problem is that the wheel jerks to the left while driving. I looked at the front left tire and it looks like a tiger has been using it as a chew toy, N-e-wayz the previous owner has been driving it for a while that way, im just wondering if that had any lasting damage to the car? I have some new rims and tires waiting from my old talon to put on when i get it.

I while back my car was pulling to the left and I got under it and noticed the left front lower ball joint was just about gone. And I inspected the tire and notice that it was worn very bad, you could see the inner belts. Check your lower ball joints. If thats what it is its not too expensive, about $125 or so for the part
