my front suspension creaks and rattles a bit when the weather is cold... it has always done so when i had stock suspension now i have gcs and yellows. could it be the bushings? the sound isnt like a squeak its more of rattles and creaks. anyone else have this issue? i always feel like somehow the suspension might give way during me driving *knocks on wood* but i've checked and everything is bolted up good and tight

I have GC's and AGX shocks and my passenger side creaks terribly. It's either a ball joint or the top of the GC spring wearing through the rubber o-ring and rubbing terribly. I will be looking at this soon enough. Oh, one more thing, the bolt which passes through the lower suspenion fork on mine was all deformed and seemed like it was rubbing bad inside the lower lateral arm link so you might check that as well.

Just a follow up to my problem. My suspension was squeaking due to a bad lower ball joint. This is a recall item on 2g's so if you haven't had it done, do it! Replacing that arm took care of it (squeak) completely and also gave a more deifined feel to the steering, alot stiffer.

I also had a more noticable creak, groan or scraping noise when turning the wheel and hitting bumps, definitely a different tone than the ball joint squeak. My previous post diagnosis was right on, the top of the GC spring had worn through the rubber cap and was grinding against my upper mounts. She's as quiet as a mouse right now. :thumb:
