Hey all need your opnion if this kind of set up would work. Im thinking about replacing my struts with kyb's. so here is what im thinking about doing is replacing the front ones with none adjustabel type factory replacements and gitting the 8 way adjustabel ones for the rear, so when i get to the track i can just make them stiff. this will be on stock springs.
thanks, curtis

it is a 1990 gst fwd. and what is up with the car profile that usually is with user and name and location i have noticed it has gone missing on some threads but not others

It wasn't when I went and looked and still doesn't show up. Maybe the same bug is causing it not to show up in either place.
Are you just looking to save a few bucks by putting the GR2's up front and AGX's in the back and still play with weight transfer or is there something else in mind.
I wish I had put my AGX's on with the stock springs for a while to see how they worked together so I could give you some input but my suggestion would be to put the AGX's all the way around if your going to put them on the rear. If you want and experts advice (and I'm not) call KYB and ask them if the combo would work together.

yea im just thinking that the front ones really dont need to be adjustable and that is what im trying to achive is keeping the rear stiff while the front is soft for drag racing purposes. and yea trying to save a few dollars. thanks for the reply curtis

I just did that same install. But I put Eibach Prokit springs with GR2 up front and AGX 4 way adjustable in the back. I'll be going to the track for the first time with this setup on the 16th. I'll let you know how it works. I thouht the same way you did libbert2, keep it stiff in the rear let the front come down in the front between shifts and keep the weight on the front.

hey steve i figured out how to get the car type to show up you need to go to your profile and re-enter it

LOL! and now mine is gone but it wasn't last night.

44pirate, did you find the pro-kit rears to be stiff enough?
What do you run you AGX set to on the back?
How does it ride on the street?

I have the pro-kit springs and AGX's all the way around The front end works nicely but I don't think I have the rear dialed in yet. It feels like the suspension travels a lot more than the front and thumps over every crack. Kind of like the springs are too soft at the beginning and too hard later as they compress. It's not bouncy but just seems over progressive if you know what I mean.
