I have a 90 Eagle talon Tsi AWD, and I want to know if a 3000gt brake system will fit on my 90 eagle talon. and if it does what will need to be change etc.

I beleive they do fit however I am unsure what exactly you need.

Merged bot threads since they were about the exact same thing.

The calipers on the 3si are the same as the 93+ dual pistons. If you can get ahold of a 3si or a diamante (both have the dual pistons) all youll need from them is the calipers and the mounting brackets. Then just get soem bigger rotors and the proper brake pads and your set.

As for the blue calipers...mine were blue when i bought my car to. I just took em off sanded the crap out of em' and painted them flat black (hi temp) and it looks better than stock!!

LOL there blue from heat..... but i just want to upgrade.. again i am going faster and i need to stop. sorry about the topic and post spelling errors, really sleepy yesterday and didn't feel like proof reading. thanks for the info guys! it gives me a better market to look at rather then the SL I was looking at and 93+ TSI/GSX parts cars. Anyone know what years the diamante used these calipers and if there is a diamante site of some sort that would sell parts. Just trying to these at the best price, but trying to get a working product out of it as well.

thanks again

Im not exactly sure on the specific years. I just said this cause your best bet would be to go to some type of junkyard and try and find them. Or else just order some new ones, they will prolly be cheapest if you go to a chrysler dealer and get em for a 93 Laser...

I havent confirmed this but i heard that the 3000 GT/Diamate calipersa have a 1mm larger bore on both pistons. aside from that they are the same as the 92-99 GSX.

To get a good deal if you dont mind using Junkyard parts, go to
WWW.CAR-PARTS.COM
look up 1994 3000 GT SL CALIPERS
and you could be nice and ask for the brackets and shims for pads,
from the Yard.
Last time i check you could getr calipers for about $25+s&H
then go to Autozone and the rotors are $29.95
and your choice of pads.

$54.95+ tax s&h for larger rotors and calipers
or
$69.95 fot new rotors from Autozone for your gst or 91 awd

I have the upgrade on my 2g and will be doing it on my 1g shortly.

good luck.

i may go with slotted brembo rotors... but all and all THANK YOU! its great to hear someone giving full infomation on all of this. it really helps me out a whole lot.

thanks,

DSMDurf: Hey i found them as a low as 20 bucks. How do you know they work?? I mean sure its only 20 bucks.. but I don't want to just burn my money. I can do that with a lighter

Just Curious

Most junk Yards have some sorta quality control.
I cant speak for all of them but if you lose $50 buck on an upgrade that didnt work its less than 2 tanks of gas. or you can go to auto zone and by the calipers for about $85 a peice and have brand new calipers.

buy the the way the brembro rotors are $31.89 from nopi.com
so it is still a low cost upgrade, and with money you can save by using Junkyard parts you could go buy the Stainless Steel Brake lines to have a total high performance Brake package.

Also be sure to bed the new pads in before you do a 150-0 stop
these are bigger brakes and do help but, they are in no way a endall to brakes they can still fade and warp.
