Hey all,

I have the AGX adjustable gas shocks (forget the exact name) and skunk2 coilovers, but my suspension is way to bouncy.

If i hit a bump or dip in the road, my car practically flies off of it. Is this just a bad setup or is there something i can do to reduce this? I'm running 18'' rims with Kumo tires and stock motor mounts if that makes a difference

Make sure you are not bottoming the suspension out. How low is the car?

AGX's are far too stiff for normal spring rates, your best bet is to set them at 1 and 1 for daily driving and possibly raise the rear to 4 at the most during spirited driving.

I have them set at 1 on my agx's. He is right.
Would this issue still matter if i am using sportline springs skyle?

Hey all,

If i hit a bump or dip in the road, my car practically flies off of it.

This to me says that he's right down on his bump stops. Anytime you coilbind or go down on to the stops, the spring rate becomes infinitely stiff and the car will lose contact with the road.

I would think that a smaller rim/Larger sidewall would help also.

Actually AGX's and Sportlines are the same setup I used to have. Very bouncy. Amazingly my 500f/ 415r Hypercoils and Koni Yellows ride smoother even though the spring rate is way up. But that's because the Koni's let the springs do their job instead of being overly stiff on the compression stroke and making the car pogo around.

car is stock height. I have no idea what the stiffness is set to at the moment (im at the office) I've messed around with the settings before however, and no matter what, its always toooo bouncy. If i hit a dip on the freeway, my car flies! It's like it absorbs too much shock too far, and too slow, causing the car to drive like crap and not absorb like it should.

its really driving me nuts
