So it's time for new brakes/rotors in my FWD 1g. When I purchased the car, I was told it had the 3000gt big brake kit. I read vfaq, and I searched forums, but i'm still a little confused as to which year 3000gt rotors, are upgrades.

If anyone could just clear up for me exactly which year, NT or T, 3000gt rotors will work, I'd greatly appreciate it. :thumb:

Thanks, and sorry for being retarted. :sosad:

A pic would be nice, but I'm going to assume you have the dual piston upgrade. This means you want pads and rotors for an AWD DSM. AWD DSM's share the same front brakes as the non/turbo 3kgt.

Any year AWD `93+, correct?

Yes. If you're pulling calipers and rotors for a dual piston swap, any AWD '93+ will have them. The only thing is, if you get 2g calipers, you'll need adapter lines as they have a banjo bolt instead of a direct screw in line.

Ok so this is what I should order? `93 AWD, front pads, calipers, and rotors?

Yes. And you'll also need new U clips (the ones that clip on to caliper and hold pads in). Lock and guide bolts are the same. And then the lines if you get ones that use a banjo bolt.

Here's a few tutorials about the dual piston caliper swap:

The early diamantes have the same brakes as a 93-94 AWD so the stock lines work and you can easily find them at a junkyard.
