well, I had to drive on Kumho Ecsta 711 summer tires last winter and lets just say I wouldn't recommend anyone to do the same. So, I'm looking for some good all-season tires that will get me through the snow.
I have two choices. Either to go with some Kumho ASX's or Nankang NS2 all-season tires. Does anyone have any experience with either of these. If so please tell me which ones are better/ which ones you would recommend. Thanks :dsm:

The ASX' rock, their great in the wet and so-so in the snow(this was in an s2000 though, your awd!). Though if your still in Florida I wouldn't worry about that part, just wet and the ASX are good in the rain so far for me.

The Nankang's imo are a no-name brand and I've never heard anything about them, they're super cheap and you get what you pay for most of the time.

It is expensive but I HIGHLY reccommend buying a set of snow tires living in Colorado. Go look up the tests on Tire Rack to see just what a difference they make when stopping on ice and you'll be glad you made the investment. They make such a world of difference!

FWIW I'm very happy with my Nitto SN-1 tires. I could stop on packed snow almost like it was dry asphalt last winter.

Oh, and as you know by now, AWD won't make you stop any faster than 2WD in snow! Only tires can do that.

Nokian WRs. Kinda pricey but are excellent in the snow. They're an all season tire but also have a winter rating. I used these for a full year and now just use them for snow tires. They are the best tires I've ever had for the snow and they last.

Those are all good but I'm on a low budget right now so I won't be able to get those that cost more. And, yes, I know I shouldn't cheap out on tires but I don't have any other choice at the moment

I'm not sure about the Nankangs. Alot of vendors sell them so I wouldn't say they're an ebay non-brand kind of tires.

If you get snow oriented tires definitely get the Nokian's, the Hakapaleda(Spelling?) is an unreal snow tire. For all season you can't go wrong with the ASX.

if i HAD to choose between those 2 tires, id get teh kuhmo's. also, you should look for some pirelli p zero nero m&s. should be good for all season use and they have a pretty decent tread life too
