Wide wheels? possible

any one who has looked at the suspension at the rear of a 2g, awd know that the arm that goes to the upper wish bone is like a 1/2" from the tire... so is it posible to say put a 18x8 or 18x 10 on the car at all? i supsose it depends on the spacing... what about for turning? no one can argue about the benefits of more rubber to the road. Also what aobut a larger total diameter... althought it loweres acceleration, it does imporve top speed, and fills the wheel well better.

I have 18x8.5 and that is really close. i would say no wider than that

18x8 w/-40mm offset running a 235 wide tires front and rear would be absolutely perfect.

Yes,with the correct offset and Fender flares or a wide body kit..I've seen a GST with 19x9.5's but he has Fender flares though.You will probably wear the wheel bearings faster.Who knows maybe not.

18x8.5 here too... its like .25" from the arm.

how wide are slipstreams, also its not nessesarily about the wheel, but the tire.. what is the largest total diameter that can be run?
