Ok well about a month ago or so the road noise in my car got to be almost unbearable. It sounds like the majority of the noise is coming from the rear driver side. I know our cars are not that quiet and the road noise used to be bearable but anymore it's hard to stand. I was thinking about doing the whole dynomat thing but with the noise getting worse I figure there may be something actually wrong. Anyone have ideas of what it could be?

PS: I have BFGoodrich Z rated G force T/A tires and all the air pressure is good and the tires are fine, I just rotated and checked everything on those.

Did you check the wheel bearings to see if any of them are failing? Failing wheel bearings usually make a loud growling noise that I used to mistake for road noise. Three wheel bearings later...... :)

Jack up each corner of the car and try to wiggle the tires with your hands at the 12 and 6 positions, then the 3 and 9 positions. If you can feel any play, there might be a problem with the bearing or possibly the suspension.

Ya I am thinking the wheel bearings now. I have to drive back to school tomorrow around 12 and so I am waking up extra early and calling a shop to see if they are open and to check it out. If not I have a friend who's a mechanic that does the stuff I can't, I'm 19, and he said that he will fix it. And on the sound deadening I know those tires aren't the best for road noise but it used to not be bad at all and within the past month it has gotten horrible which leads me to the bearings. I will let ya know and thanks for the help.

Ok well here's the pictures of the old bearing, good thing I changed it before heading back to school, looked pretty bad.

ya the pictures weren't great cause they were with my phone but the first one doesn't do justice to how bad and deep the marks went and they were all the way around.
