I looked threw but did't find what i was looking for so here goes.

I have a 95 TSI AWD. it came lowered with camber kit front and rear, and kyg agx 4 point adjustables all the way around, and Eibach pro prings. Now the ride sucks period. Im looking to get like the Tokico shocks front and rear from SBR and maybe the Skunk 2 coil over kit. Id like to get it about 1/2 inch higher off the ground just a tad higher then it sits.

So would the Skunk 2 and Tokico be a good combo for daily street and maybe some track time? Im running 17's on it now 205/45/17s realy i think  ### i havent seen my car in like 5months, still waiting on the courts to release funds to fix it.

Let me know what ya think on this, Im looking to get started this winter, now only if i can figure out what to do about my engine problem, ether built 7bolt block or 6bolt with a kiggy kit :sosad:

When I did my whole suspension I went by a long discussion I read either on DSMtalk or Automotive forums about the most popular combos for 2Gs. I don't have the link anymore but by memory, I believe the consensus was AGX/skunks and Illumina/pro-kits were the favored combinations based on ride, drop, and performance...due to how they compliment each other. For example, I read a ton of reviews that AGX/pro-kits were a really harsh ride.

I have the illumina/prokit combo and I love it.

If you have the cheese there are Tein 18 way adjustables.

yeah, i dont have much cheese, but another problem i have i cant tell if i have the pro's or sports.. LOL, i did't buy them, they where on the car, so i need to know what drop i have, i found the Tokico Illumins set from extreme and might pick them up but the drop is 1.7.

Is there any markings on the springs that would tell me ether or?

Prokit is 1.2" and Sportlines are 2". If you have less than two fingers gap in your fender to tire with 225/40/18 setup, then you have sportlines. I'm confused by your statement about the illuminas 1.7" "drop"...the drop should be based on your springs. If you swapped out the struts, you're still stuck with the same drop.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe pro-kits are black and sportlines are red (i think).

Some struts (Koni Yellows) allow you to change the pearch location thus allowing you to preload the spring and increasing the 'drop'.

ahh yeah i forgot to say they come with matching springs that are 1.75, and i thought pro's where 1.3 and the sports 1.7 not 2. I have 215/45/17's.

Maybe ill just replace the shocks/struts to keep the hight, i just know the ride is junk with what is on it now..

Most places estimate the drops...for example, I think prokits say .8 to 1.2 or avg 1". And sportlines 1.8 to 2.2 or avg 2". Personally, I was expecting 1" on my prokits and definately got 1.2 even before they set.

ahhh oks, i got your point now, hmmm, i guess ill try tokicos, unless i find a better deal on something else.
