I just picked up the Energy Suspension Full kit for my 1g AWD. I was doing the Subframe, when I notice it only came with 2 pair of bushings. The one subframe in the front next to the radiator doesn't have any bushings for it... Is that right?

I just did this not too long ago. The sub frame has four bushings. It is the big tub where the front sway bar and steering rack are housed. There are no bushings for the support bracket under the radiator. Check the vfaq as a reference. I thought the front sub frame was the hardest to replace.

I did read the VFAQ also. Seems like he put one of the four bushings into the front subframe next to the radiator. I wonder why they didn't put on there.

But, Yeah I thought it was going to be hard also. But with my motor already out. Took me 45mins to drop the subframe, and about 30 mins to take out all the old bushings. So it wasn't too bad. I put the subframe back up yesterday, and contacting the company to see if I can get bushing to put in the subframe in the front... I think it would only take me one day to do the bushings in the front, and another for the rear.

Anyone have any idea why the font sub frame next to the radiator doesn't have any bushing replacement?

I was wondering the same thing when I did my subframe bushings. I was replacing my steering rack at the time so with that already out, it wasn't very hard to pull the whole subframe off the car. Man you're lucky your engine is out....are you doing the front and rear "roll-stoppers" aka motor mount inserts? No matter how good your stock ones might look I highly recommend installing those. I swapped my engine not even a year ago and at the same time I put in some used front and rear motor mounts that were in good shape. On top of that, I even did the window weld mod to them. Well my engine rocks back and forth pretty bad now...I really wish I did the energy suspension inserts while I had the engine out.

Yes, I'm doing the engine mounts also. ;-) Everything is being replaced... All bushings, Ball Joints, End Links, Bearings. I also replaced the Rack and Pinion, and both Axles...

I'm just looking for a 4-bolt rear now...
